Handle tapers and turns near cylindrical near bow; downturned, rounded handle with rat-tail on back side; oval tapering bowl with scalloped edges; slightly pointed end; repousse work (of fruit) on band; bright cutwork on band, front side (length of handle) and back side of handle, surrounding the hallmarks; four hallmarks on back side of handle reading from left to right: a lion facing left in rectangle in which the top two corners are cut and the bottom side of which is pinched, a figure in a crown in a shield shape, a capital letter "D" in a square box in which the top two corners are cut and the bottom side pinched, a man's head in profile facing right in an oval, the capital letters "SG" and "EW" in a square box; the last mark is positioned parallel to the handle.
