A tapering handle with rococo motifs; rounded end is upturned and slightly asymmetrical; handle has cyma curves and raffle leaf decoration; ornamentation continues on back side of handle and area of tines; three are four tines, one of which is thicker, with a concave end; on back of handle from left to right:"PAT. 1895" (this has been stamped twice, one on top of the other) ; "ROGERS & HAMILTON" [Rogers & Hamilton merged with the International Silver Co. R.M. & T.H. Kovel - A Directory of American Silver, Pewter & Silver plate; top of handle is monogrammed with a capital "S".
